Is vaping less expensive than smoking?

Generally, yes. Naturally, it depends on how much you vape — and what your vape. But if you break it all down, vaping comes out to be substantially less expensive. The first (and only) major investment you will need to make is to get your vaping device — and from there things get very affordable. Your main regular expense will be buying e-liquid or pre-filled pods (depending on the device you are using). Nic salt vape juices tend to be more expensive than free-vase e-liquids and pre-filled pods would also work out to be pricier than refilling e-liquid. Expect to spend from $15 to $40 montly (or more if you want to buy custom-made juice) on e-liquids. Plus, you will have some maintenance costs: this will differ depending on the type of device you use — but, in most cases, you will need to buy replacement coils for your vaping gadget.

How does that compare to smoking? While the prices of cigarettes differ from country to country, on average, a pack of branded cigarettes would set you back about $6 (based on the data provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) — this amounts to over $180 a month.
